FULWIDER, Ernestine Mitchell

Ernestine Fulwider, 76, Crawfordsville, died at 8:15 a.m. Friday, April 29, at Ben Hur Nursing Home in Crawfordsville. She was the sister of Max Mitchell of Mellott.

  Born November 24, 1906 at Elmdale, the daughter of Raymond Alexander and Corna James Mitchell. She married Glenn Fulwider May 23, 1925. He died in March of 1977.

  She assisted her husband while he served as custodian of the Montgomery County courthouse from 1968 to 1973. She was a member of Oak Hill Tabernacle Church.

  Survivors include, in addition to her brother, Max, a son, Donald of Frankfort; two daughters, Mrs. Oscar Black of Columbia, Kentucky, and Mrs. Robert Long of Crawfordsville; three other brothers, John Mitchell of Wingate, Charles Mitchell of Elmdale, Paul Mitchell of Crawfordsville; a sister, Mrs. Paul Miller of Alamo; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

  Services were conducted Monday at Oak Hill Tabernacle Church with Rev. Robert Miller officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery. Thomas Funeral Home of Waynetown was in charge of arrangements.
